MEET MARISSA

Founder • Certified Nia Instructor

For Marissa, Nia became much more than a movement practice, it became a way back to herself. At a time when her light had grown dim, Nia helped her reconnect with her body, mind, and spirit. Through movement and community, she began to rediscover her joy, her strength, and her shine.

Inspired by her teacher and mentor, Nica Poznanovich, Marissa traveled to Texas to complete an immersive Nia training and become a certified instructor. What began as a goal to support Nica as a substitute quickly blossomed into something more. The deeper Marissa stepped into the practice, the more she felt called to share it with others.

Sacred Growth Dance grew from that calling—a space where people can come home to themselves, move in whatever way brings them joy, and experience the power of connection in community. Marissa believes you don’t need to know how to dance or move a certain way. You simply get to show up as you are, listen to your body, and let your own light shine.
